Line’s General Manager, Nick Toye reports on the FECL
Conference 2004, cargo and continued growth
The 2004 FECL Conference was held in Hong Kong at the beginning
of the year, with a record attendance of 131 representatives
from its FECL network members. The three-day conference provides
delegates with the opportunity to meet other partners informally
and hold one-to-one meetings to discuss key topics such as account
management, operational issues and marketing strategy. FECL
welcomed 4 new members to the network,
- Ritra, Holland
- Cambell & Mccleve, Ireland
- SIR Logistics, Malaysia.
- Multicontainer, Greece
Typically discussions in the main meeting were wide ranging
and included the network, trade, policy and FECL’s strategy
to deal with China’s forecast growth.
The other main item of the Conference meeting was the implementation
of FECL’s shipment tracking service, which will soon be
available to clients, free of charge.
