Further to our previous announcements, we have turned our attention once again to our Hong Kong Conference.
As you know from our last communication, tentative scheduling was planned for Chinese New Year (CNY) 2021. We are all very aware of the ongoing affects of Covid19 on everybody, in every country. Travel restrictions remain in force across the world and as individual companies, travel bans are still with many of us.
In view of the current situation, once again we cannot make a commitment to re-schedule our Conference at this time. Certainly, February 2021 cannot be contemplated further. We have now taken the decision to again postpone our Far Eastern Conference for 2021, and we will look to arrange this for Chinese New Year 2022.
In better news, you may be aware that vaccines against Covid19 are being developed with very good success rates. Here in the UK, vaccination has began as of yesterday. There is a long way to go and we can only hope that next year may see some relaxation to our current ways of life. Indeed, our ‘new normal’ is a digital world filled with Zoom, MS Teams, Whatsapp, online meetings and calls. With this in mind, we are considering holding a ‘Virtual Conference’ in 2021.
This is not a new idea of course and virtual conferences are already taking place. We will start planning and working on this in the background and we will release further details in the New Year.
In the meantime, I would take this opportunity to wish you all a safe and healthy Christmas, and a better New Year for 2021.
